The Independence Trend

Posted in Commercial Affairs, Entrepreneurs, Markets + Marketing on August 14th, 2008

When my brother and I were comparing “dating notes” recently, he mentioned that a lot of the girls he’d been meeting seemed to be fiercely independent.

Almost every one of his recent dates owned her own home, had paid for her own education, and ran a home bussiness.

We both laughed at that, considering that, although both of us have college degrees and have always dreamed of working at home, neither has yet managed to do it.

“Who are these people and what are they doing?” I asked him. He said he didn’t know, but was going to start paying more attention when they talked.

Who knows, we might figure this independence thing out yet.

These days I’ve become a kind of informal lobbyist for working at home.

Businesses can benefit from allowing workers to work from home because, not only does it save overhead, but it taps into a large market of qualified people who can’t commute for one reason or another.

A disabled person can work from their home bussiness when they couldn’t go to work in a standard office. When mothers work from home, they can more easily balance work and home while spending time with the family.

And, when fewer people commute, it’s good for the environment, not to mention the savings on gas.

The benefits for both home workers and businesses are overwhelming and I’m hoping that this trend picks up speed. It’s a winning solution for everyone.

Storage Organization - The Key to Preserving What’s Important

Posted in Entrepreneurs on June 8th, 2008

Even before the coming of man, animals like the ants
have been doing storage of food and other stuff to cope
with the daily demands of life. Storage is a vital part
of human life. In the Bible, the wisdom-filled Joseph
used storage to escape the problems of famine which
happened for seven years. During the seven years of
fullness and abundance, Joseph suggested to the Pharaoh
to put up stock houses for food to carry on with the
famine.

Storage is also important in our day to day living. Our
refrigerators have stocks of food to be used for our
everyday survival. Storage is of major concerns for big
companies and businesses involved with different
products ranging from the items that will fill up man’s
basic needs to the complex wants that man desires and
longs for.

Storage is done not only by placing in one corner the
items or products to be used later on. There are
several factors to be taken to ensure that the stored
stuff will be in safe condition so people that will
make use of it. In the case of food storage, the place
or the equipment to be used for storage must be free
from any toxins caused by different factors in the
environment ranging from the tiny bacteria and other
microorganisms to big rats, cockroaches and other
insects. Improper food storage can lead to food
poisoning and death.

There are various ways of food storage which can
include canning, freezing and drying. Drying is used to
remove the moisture from the food so as to prevent the
growth of micro-organisms. Freezing is the commonly
used method of food storage and preservation to slow
down spoilage through chemical reaction done by
transforming water into ice or liquid into solid.
Canning is a form of storage which includes the use of
jars and other containers in which food is heated first
to kill or destroy the microorganisms that can mess up
with the food.

Storage areas for other commodities are also a major
concern of businessmen thus they have storage plans to
ensure the safety of their products. The fabricators of
various products must have a secured dry storage area
that can sufficiently be used to stock all the items.
The location and size, together with other vital
factors must be carefully considered to guarantee the
efficiency of storage. The advancements in technology
is a great help in the efficiency of storage since the
different factors involved which may include the
temperature and lighting system can be easily adjusted
to suit the condition of the items and the area.

Stacking of different products is made easier by using
the new racking systems. Aside from organized location,
it can also save spaces for other items or products.
The Flow-through and First In - First Out systems are
the commonly used racking types for storage. The
Flow-through system works by positioning the older ones
in a location that will allow it to be used first. A
First In - First Out storage system is also a variation
of a flow-through though it uses gravity rollers
adjusted at an angle that will provide easier facility
by simply moving the product forward. The brakes on the
rollers control the movements of the items. After which
the products are placed systematically for the next process.

Own Your Own Profitable Madison Dynamics, Virtual Franchise Today

Posted in Entrepreneurs on June 7th, 2008

You’ve heard of the McDonalds franchise.

Right!

Is the cost of their franchise out of your price range?

Then the Madison Dynamics Virtual Franchise will be right for you.

Madison Dynamics have researched and created a range of
Internet based products and services that collectively form
the Madison Dynamics Virtual Franchise.

It has taken major planning and development to get from
the idea stage to finally launching this technology based
Virtual Franchise Company.

I don’t normally go out of my way to promote any one
company in my Ezine, ~ The INDEX ~ this is an exception.

So I hear you ask who and what makes Madison Dynamics
Incorporated (MDI) different?

There are a combination of things that stand out
that make this Company different.

Firstly lets look at one of the products that this company
is promoting.

The iCON Communicator is their number one selling product.
This is a VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol communicator.
VoIP is a system that breaks down the voice into small packets
to transmit over the Internet to the receiver at the other end.

In another words the system is designed for people to speak
to each other using their computer instead of a telephone.
No long distance charges !

Unlimited Global voice communications.

The iCON Communicator also has a browser window like
Microsoft Internet Explorer where the moderator or person
in charge of a communicator can display any web page on
any guests or visitors computer screen using that communicator.

If you along with 23 other people were to visit my ICON
Communicator you would all see on your computer screens
the same web page I have displayed on my computer screen
and I have the ability to change this web page at any time.

iCON Communicators starts out at a 2 person (or user)
up to 1,000 Corporate Communicator or larger if you want
to hold a large Global seminar.

Now when you consider the potential of this, you will soon
realize that with this technology you can also give live
presentations with PowerPoint or SlideLogics slideshows.
You can hold live Internet seminars, presentations or just view
the families holiday snap shots in a web based photo album.

A Real Estate Agent could have a communicator with
a link on their web site. Home buyers can then talk
from the comfort of their own home with the Real Estate
Agent (even in another country) who can then show
them some of their house listings.

The beauty is that the Real Estate Agent only pays
one low flat monthly fee, “but get this” home buyer
customers pays nothing. Any guests or visitors to
my iCON Communicator can talk to me in person
from any location around the world for FREE.

The iCON Communicator can also be used for
Application Sharing. This is where say an accountant
can share an excel spread sheet with his client on
his clients computer even in another country.

The possibilities are limitless for the communicator.
It allows you to share spreadsheets, financial reports,
architectural drawings Real Estate Presentations for
prospective home owners, hold a class using the virtual
whiteboard and share many other software applications
that run on your computers desktop.

Madison Dynamics also have other Technology
products too. Each product has a separate retail
website with your ID number.

Shall I tell you, why this is so powerful !

OK.

Firstly, you are not limited to only promoting the Madison Dynamics
Virtual Franchise (iAssociate program), you can also target
your local businesses in your town or city.

Remember the scope of the Franchise, the Internet is a Global
marketplace, where-as the McDonalds Franchise is tied to a
physical location.

With the iCON Communicator which has so many possible uses even
in schools and hospitals, but for the business sector they don’t want
to be bothered with becoming an iAssociate with Madison Dynamics,
all they want is to purchase a product, the communicator.

So when a customer purchases a communicator from
your retail site that communicator has a link back to your
retail Site. So if any guests visit that communicator and
click on your link you get a sale and commission.

Madison Dynamics provide you the website and take care of
transactions, sending you your commissions monthly.

Not many products can be said to sell themselves,
the ICON Communicator does! I’ve made a number
of sales this way.

http://www.icon-communicator.com

The Commissions are very attractive for this 3 x 5 Matrix
and for the retail sales too.

There are 3 main iAssociate (franchise) levels, Basic,
Advanced and Premium, Plus if you want to take a look
to see how the Virtual Franchise you can take a free tour.
The free tour allows you to receive a Virtual Franchise website
where you can gain access to the members area with no obligation
on your part. There is training and support plus promotional
material provided. Yes they offer training to get you started.

The Basic iAssociate receives his or her own ICON
Communicator and gets commissions on other basic
Level iAssociates along with some bonuses.

The Advanced iAssociate receives an ICON Communicator
and a iProBuilder (website creator with hosting) they
receive commissions on others at this level

The Premium iAssociate receives a communicator, Deluxe
iProBuilder and the iProTalk Internet audio system. There
are some other products that are being tested and as time
goes on these other products will be added to the range.

It is a Virtual Franchise and for the committed Premium
iAssociate like myself the benefits and commissions are
probably the best you’ll find from any Internet company.

The company Madison Touche is the parent company
and has been involved in many Internet based Businesses,
over many years. They have the knowledge and financial
backing to make Madison Dynamics Incorporated - MDI
become one of the biggest technology companies on the
Internet.

This company and opportunity get my “5 STARS”.

I believe it is far easier to market real products
and Madison Dynamics has real products.

If you wish to talk with me and see how the communicator
works, my ICON Communicator link is:

http://iconcommunicator.com/icon/ICON-Communicator

If it is your goal to turn a profit this year then
this is an excellent place to start.

Here is your chance to get in early for a change, before
everyone else starts promoting this Virtual Franchise.

I recommend the Madison Dynamics Premium
iAssociate level but if finance is a problem join
as a Basic iAssociate. You can then upgrade at
any time. The higher the level the higher the
commission.

When asked how he became the world’s richest man,
Bill Gates replied.

First, I was in the right place at the right time.

Second, I saw the vision.

Third, and most important, I took action.

Reinventing Your Business

Posted in Entrepreneurs on June 1st, 2008

It has been said that that true inventions are extremely rare, but that you need only invent something 10% new to be extremely successful. In other words, most inventions are merely significant improvements to established innovations. It stands to reason that you can significantly improve your current business condition by identifying the aspects of your products or services that can be substantially upgraded - at least by 10%.

Products

Examples of ten percenters are all around us. When my wife was pregnant with our son some 9 years ago, I recall looking for a rocking chair. There were roughly 20 models to choose from in a prominent baby store chain. One of the 20 chairs was the traditional model. The other 19 were the newer “glider” style chairs that rock more smoothly and parallel to the ground.

I recall thinking about how long the rocking chair has been around. How many people looked at the rocking chair for hundreds of years and came to the conclusion that it had been perfected - that it was a simple and brilliant invention that could not be improved. Now at least as far as some baby chain retailers are concerned, it’s nearly obsolete. All because some ten percenter saw the rocking chair differently.

The paper clip is another shining example of the 10% principle. As long as the paper clip has been around, it seemed to be the perfectly simplistic office implement. One day, however, someone came to a new realization. Perhaps they noticed that the rough edge at the end of the paper clip could slightly scratch the surface of quality papers as the clip slid over the edge. Maybe they simply had a flair for vibrant colors and became bored with the lack of variety. Nylon-coated paper clips - another example of the work of a ten-percenter.

I can recall purchasing a cherry turnover from a fast food chain recently. I rarely buy dessert items from fast food establishments. But I noticed how enticing this item looked only because there was a mirror positioned above the warming tray and tilted at a 45-degree angle, offering a perfect view of the scrumptious pastry. Some ten percenter realized that turnovers aren’t quite as enticing as merely a line item on the menu board as they are in plain view.

Services

The ten percent rule applies to service industries as well. Airline frequent flyer points and all of the variations that are used by hotels, restaurants, and other businesses have changed the customer loyalty paradigm. I’ve even seen recently where a hotel chain is offering company stock to frequent guests, and why not - those returning customers are responsible for the continued growth and success of the company.

Delivery service companies have added online tracking capabilities to give customers a better sense of comfort that their packages are progressing through the system. Automobile repair and rental car services improved significantly by identifying a key concern of the customer, the inconvenience factor, and offering pick-up and drop-off service.

Identifying 10% Opportunities

So how do you identify the 10 percent improvement opportunities for your organization? You know your business better than anyone, but do you know your customers as well as you should. More importantly, do you think about their concerns, issues, problems, and challenges as much as your own? Customer focus is the key to identifying most opportunities for improvement. Here are some questions that you can ask that might shed some light on your areas of opportunity.

1. Identify & Address Customer Problems

There’s no greater opportunity for getting a leg up on your competition and becoming an innovator in your field than through identification and resolution of customer problems. FedEx Chairman Fred Smith revolutionized package delivery services by anticipating that in an electronic age, it would be absolutely essential to get computer parts and accessories from the manufacturer or seller to the end-user overnight.

Cardinal Health understood that in the competitive pharmaceutical industry, they needed a competitive advantage. The problem - with all of the various prescriptions being dished out in hospitals on a daily basis, the potential for confusion and error is tremendous - to the tune of 50,000 deaths caused by drug interactions in America annually. By offering logistics management for hospital pharmacies and automated dispensing machines that helped doctors and nurses accurately match and package multiple medications with the proper patients, Cardinal’s profits soared in an industry where margins were being squeezed.1

What problems are your customers experiencing when using your product or service? Perhaps there are problems that are seemingly inherent to your industry that no providers have addressed. How does the customer perceive the buying process? Is your customer the end-user or an intermediate in the use of your product or service? What problems are your customer’s customers experiencing, either with regard to your product or service, or one that you could be offering?

Not all customer problems will represent an opportunity for your firm. But the ability to identify and understand key customer issues can solidify relationships, head off potential problems, and keep your firm on the leading edge of innovation opportunities.

2. Identify & Expand the Context of the Buying Experience

Convenience stores realized long ago that thinking of customers as people who wanted to purchase gasoline is a narrow-minded approach. Distinguishing their customers as people on the go with limited time and a variety of needs related to food, beverages, information (maps, newspapers, etc.), and recreation changed their way of thinking, and consumers were willing to pay a premium. Remember when they were called service stations and each store had 3 or 4 drive up bins where you could get a tire changed or a tune-up. Tell your grandchildren about that one.

Women’s salons have come to realize that the customer wants more than a haircut. Women want to relax and to be pampered. Nail therapy, massages, facials, pedicures, and body wraps are no longer the exclusive domain of fancy resorts in remote locations. You can probably find most of those services in your neighborhood.

Think about what your customers are doing when they purchase your product or service. What else might they be looking for? Can you package or bundle your offerings in a manner that makes them more enticing or easier to buy, understand, or access? Think of the total customer experience. Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and built-in DVD players are more than automobile accessories - they are enhancements to the driving experience.

3. Enhance Your Strengths

Why do your customers do business with you? What are the strongest attributes of your organization? Perhaps you have a competitive advantage that you are not exploiting. Maybe your customers are fully aware of your unique selling proposition, but prospective customers don’t have a clue.

If you can’t think of anything, consider a position in the marketplace you could pursue? Is any competitor focusing on delivery, service, availability, ease of use, maintenance, or some other attribute to the extent that they own that position in your market? How can you provide evidence to back up your claims and how can you communicate that position to your prospective customers?

4. Give it Some Thought

The thoughts expressed previously focus on the need to understand your customers’ perception of your product or service and of your company. Do you even have a system in place to collect relevant feedback and how effective is that system? Remember that the primary attribute of a good customer feedback system is that it is easy for the customer to use, ensuring the highest possible response rate.

Just as important, do you schedule time for the key members of your organization to brainstorm and simply consider these types of issues? Have you considered inviting your customers to a resort location for a client appreciation and feedback retreat? The expense of such a meeting is not trivial, but the prospect of losing the business of even 2 or 3 of your top 10 customers could make the investment seem trivial.

You never know which customer comment or complaint has the potential to improve your business substantially. All it takes is ten percent!

Useful Information that can be Used by Anyone

Posted in Entrepreneurs on May 21st, 2008

Over 18 months I spent close to $10,000 US on ebooks, internet
marketing courses, training materials, web hosting, domain
forwarding, autoresponders, AD trackers, advertising costs -
traffic exchanges, exit exchanges, search engines, pay-per-click
programs, ezines - subscription fees, randomizers & doublers!

I also lost money when a few programs that I was involved with
went under, including a payment processing company called
EzPayWay which disappeared owing me over $1400 in commissions.

All the money that I did make online was ploughed back into yet
more programs & yet more opportunities. It was a vicious circle
& I ended up getting deeper & deeper into debt. I was just
fortunate that I had a good JOB to fall back on.

At the end of those 18 months I took a break from everything to
do with online businesses. I dropped my internet marketing
‘escapades’ & focused on other ares in my life that I had been
neglecting - like my health & my relationships with my wife &
other members of my family.

After 6 months of mental & physical recuperation getting myself
back on track, I decided to give it one last try …

I got in touch with several of my key contacts & asked them what
they were up to, what programs they were promoting & what they
were making money with on the ‘Net.

However, when I resumed my internet activities I changed a
number of things in my approach:

1. Maintain FOCUS

You know, there’s always going to be a newer program, a better
compensation plan, a more professional website. I was no longer
going to run around promoting every single opportunity that came
my way.

I was going to pick FOUR or FIVE of the best opportunities
available & only promote established companies that were highly
recommended & highly profitable.

2. Promote businesses in line with my PERSONAL INTERESTS

My interests include Internet Marketing & Personal-Development.

Surprisingly, one of the first companies that I ended up
selecting for my come-back, was a company that I had promoted
back in my early days, which involved both of my interests
(Smile)

The company is called EMPOWERISM & they specialise in Internet
Marketing Training & Success Montoring. They’ve helped me
immensely with my own internet marketing efforts.

3. Take MASSIVE ACTION

The ‘Net is like a large powerful & never-ending ocean. My
previous efforts had been merely little pebbles tossed into deep
waters. They had no effect what-so-ever in the great scheme of
things. To get results on the ‘Net your website needs a great
amount of exposure amongst the Millions of other websites &
programs.

There are several ways of driving lots of TRAFFIC to your
websites like:

* Traffic Exchanges

* Getting listed in Search Engines

* Pay-Per-Click Advertising

* Banner Exchanges

* Emailing OPT-IN lists

* Marketing To Qualified Leads

* Ezine Advertising

You’ll need to learn about all of these different ways of
generating traffic to your website.

Personally, I advertise my website using all of the methods
above. However, instead of trying to build up downlines in free
programs, I PAY for the TRAFFIC that I require to promote my
business opportunities.

Which brings me nicely on to my next point …

4. Diligent TRACKING of the the effectiveness of my advertising.

Previously I was literally throwing money down the drain by NOT
carefully tracking the different types of advertising I was
spending my money on.

When I did get sign-ups to programs or sales in affiliate
programs I was none the wiser as to where these sales came from
& unable to clearly identify which mode of advertising was
attributable for the sales.

I was like a sniper firing away in all directions without a
scope to home in on my targets !!

5. Lastly, I added the HUMAN ELEMENT to my business

A lot of business might be conducted on the internet, but the
internet is merely a tool. The buying & selling of products,
especially in network marketing, involves the personal
recommendation of services from one party to the next.

This personal element had been missing from my business all
along.

I had been emailing 1000s of FFA leads per day (BIG DOGS style),
sending out emails to loads of Safelists, sending emails to
1000s of MLM Leads using autoresponders, but NOT ONCE over the
course of 18 months did I actually SPEAK to anyone.

Sure, I made a few sales but they were far & few between. I also
came close to trouble a few times as a result of SPAM complaints
(I’ll save that story for another time but it was the last time
I used FFA leads !!).

Nowdays, I call up my prospects & try to establish a rapport
with them. I find out what they want out of life, what their
interests are & if I can help them. I tell them about my
experiences, what I’ve learnt trying to market various products
online, how I’m a better internet marketer now than ever before
by doing what I’m telling you now.

And you know what??

I enjoy waking up in the mornings, I make new friends everyday,
I call up interested prospects, I find out what they want, I
help them get what they want, & now I get PAID all the time!

The TELEPHONE is as much a tool for Internet Marketers than the
‘Net itself.

So there you have it !!

A simple internet marketing strategy that have served me well on
my return to Cyberspace.

I hope that you find a few things here to help you improve your
internet marketing strategy & ultimately, take you that one step
closer to financial freedom.

If you would like to go one step better then you can join this
fantastic opportunity at empowerism and I will personally train
you to do everything mentioned above and more.

How to Set Up Your Home Office

Posted in Entrepreneurs on May 17th, 2008

You have taken a great step to running your own life. Now is the time to get yourself organised within your home office. What I am going to show will make life a bit easier now that you are the boss and time is money. Let get you organised. You are now the CEO of your own business and should treat it responsibly. If you treat your business as a hobby then you will only earn what a hobby would earn. However if you treat your business responsibly you will see profits coming in. Set your goals realistically, write them down, print them and stick them up where they can be seen every time you enter your office. By following this simple method you will see growth in your business.

On the other hand if you fail to set up your office properly do not expect to succeed. You will find your business will become disorganised and haphazard, even you won’t want to work for you.

You will need to find a quite place within your home where you can work. If you have a desk great, set it up in the area you have decided to work from. If however at this stage you do not have a desk then earmark a table top as your primary workplace. You will no doubt need to use your telephone and internet to run your business so enure that your computer, and workplace are neighbours. Your computer must have internet access and I would recommend that you have at least two email addresses if you are going to take advantage of the many free internet advertisements available. Remember that through these ads you will receive a lot of junk mail so I recommend that you do not use your main email address when advertising. If it is within your start up budget I would recommend the installation of a business only telephone line.

Scheduling is crucial to your business that is why I recommend you use a daily/weekly planner. I also recommend colour coding your appointments and to do lists using marker pens. Within your daily scheduling you should include:

a. Personal or family time.
b. Goals
c. Work
d. Administration time
e. Emails
f. Appointments/presentation calls
g. Training call/coaching calls

REMENBER YOU ARE NOW THE BOSS . MAKE SURE THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO WORK WITH YOU.

Lead Generation Methodologies

Posted in Entrepreneurs on May 12th, 2008

Lead generation means the way to create or generate prospective customer interested in a specific business, product or service. This term is usually used for business leads, mortgage leads, insurance leads and MLM leads. But Lead generation process can be implemented in any type of business. All businesses need a good stream of quality leads or prospects. If a company has a good system to gather quality leads that company will have great chances of success.

The sales opportunities are directly dependent on the quality of leads you generate for your business. These business or sales leads come from either marketing lead generation processes like trade shows, sales marketing, advertising, online marketing or from sales person’s prospecting activities like cold calling. However, sales leads differ from inquiries. In other words, any inquiry required to qualify for some criteria to be confirmed about the quality of the lead.

The lead generation process for sales lead or business lead is different. For complex products and services need a complex decision methodology, the key to business lead generation is picking the most likely prospects, followed by educating and qualifying them before offering more expensive sales resources. Awareness is important in any business lead generation process as it benefits the buyer while qualification benefits the seller.

There are many methodologies of business lead generation; but each methodology revolves around the two main strategies: a) broadcast and b) Focus

Broadcasting mean the educating a wide set of target audience candidates. Advertising is a good example of broadcasting.

Focus, as opposite to broadcasting, involves identifying and making situations that focus on a defined target audience. Typical focus marketing strategies include:

  • Direct Mail
  • Event and Trade Show marketing
  • Seminar and Training
  • Publicity and Public Relations
  • Whitepapers or Product Literature
  • Email marketing
  • Telemarketing

Is it Difficult to Launch a Profitable Internet Business ? Here’s my True Story…

Posted in Entrepreneurs on April 30th, 2008

Do you dream to make autopilot money while you’re sleeping ? Wakeup in the morning and have orders pouring right in your inbox.

Enjoy the internet lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of. Stay away from 10-5 dead-broke JOB (Just Over Broke).

It’s really easy to fulfill your dreams online, ONLY if you do things right.

Here’s how I got started in 7 simple steps…

Step 1 - The first thing I did was researched a niche with sufficient demand. To research demand I visited inventory.overture.com and entered my niche keyword.

This showed me how many people searched for my niche on Overture search engine.

Step 2 - Next thing I did was researched 50 high demand low competition keywords relating to my niche using Overture.
