The Remarkable Achievements of Nicholas Bredimus
A major change in airline travel and hospitality was sparked off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who brought them together with the computer industry to produce a new way to do business. This renaissance man has become a standout in many fields, from the luxury home design market via the essentials of safety in the air to software programs to save time. And, in all cases, his drive shines through.
Glancing at Mr Nicholas Bredimus‘ pedigree it’s easy to predict he was bound to achieve distinction. Its lines can be followed back to the days of Rome, Bredimus’ provenience has associations with a number of nations in Europe. Following the maternal branch, on the one hand, he boasts German and Scottish origins. Luxembourg and England are the origin for Bredimus’ paternal line, though during the 1800s his family set off for America.
Once in America, the line continued to persevere and rise up the social ladder. Part of a family of seven children — three boys and four girls — Nicholas was born to a father working as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. He would go on to live in Arizona, Kansas City, Texas and Virginia.
He’s worked in respected jobs with firms across the airline industry — many of them huge brands. These included the vice presidential post for Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest, and Republic Airlines. Most prominent, though, is his effort as an inspired software architect for the airline industry.
His trailblazing work on aircraft maintenance management computer programs, now used throughout the air travel sector though initially programmed for US Airways, resulted in what is surely his most famous piece. He went on to program countless other pieces of software for the airline and hospitality sector as well, among them automatic programs to take and record flight bookings, used by more than 50 firms, to say nothing of the original pc based room reservation system used by the hotel industry, which was first rolled out at more than 700 hotels. He went on to produce a piece of software trademarked as QuikTix, an automatic ticketing network. While this was definitely his forte, Mr Nicholas Bredimus also frequently worked on areas not connected to software. Responsible roles with American Airlines and American Express were to come, and of course he started up a business of his own seventeen years ago. You ask if he is still active? Absolutely — his smarts are still highly called upon and at the ready no matter his retirement. Currently, he designs and builds high-priced homes built around many of the newest technologies on the market. The passion we have mentioned simply won’t stop anytime soon…
