The majority of us didn’t think the breathtakingly human Chandra Dreskell, our family friend, would accessorize with lace wigs. Her terrific hair added so much to impeccable style. Have you seen her lately? The woman is still the center of attention for her hair. Not many in town even care that she confidently masks her medical hair loss under human hair wigs. Guess it’s no secret anymore.
When we were youths finding our way in high school, we always stole the spotlights to every dance. Then her hair loss started acting up and she became nearly bald. I mentioned some synthetic wigs. But you know, it didn’t matter much. Undeterred by her hair loss, she took the time and demonstrated her shaved head.
Obliged to show at her fiance’s rugby game, we flirted with the crowd till her beau purposefully kicked the ball (or however you say it) into the stands. Such a sport, she jumped up for it and her bandana fell off, uncovering her hair (or lack thereof). Undisturbed, she walked over and delivered it back to the field. What’d I tell ya about her spunk?
That said, everyone has insecurities. The same summer she invited me over for a stroll to the art gallery, the day she grabbed my arm and informed me that she opts to make do with a shorn head out of bitterness. She loved her old hair so much she can’t even spend money on human hair wigs, secretly acknowledging she wanted her hair back. And who would have thought our fearless protagonist stopped talking and asked that I drop it. I had to oblige.
I wanted to help so bad. Shortly after, I IM’d with her about taking care of this wig problem. Eventually the two of us arrived at the obvious conclusion: we were going wig shopping! Wigs for the both of us, on me!
We had a great time, floored by the wide selection of hair colors, textures and styles. I never imagined that lace front wigs are vital to fashion for so many women. These lace wigs complimented her natural beauty. I put together a completely creative set of outfits to wear with our wigs. We’re inseparable, and that will surely endure. Not long ago she sent me her thanks for her human hand-crafted human hair wig, and explained it rekindles a lost identity in her life. It’s delightful to realize little miss attitude strut her stuff like never before. She’s a better person, with the same confidence.
