The News, Stress and Overweight?

What is going on this week with the politicians in Washington?
To tell you the truth I have stopped caring I hardly watch the news any more, they truly do affect the way I live my life so I have stopped watching. It could be affecting yours.
To give you an example the last Tsunami in Asia that killed thousands of people, how did make you feel? How did it make you react? Were you able to do anything about it? Did you stress about it?
You can answer this question to yourself but the truth is that the news do stress you out, and take up a lot of your time. Time you can be spending wisely with your family, improving your life or working out.

Stress has been proven over and over and over to be one of the major causes of overweight, and by letting the news inflict some extra not need it stress, it can really affect our eating habits.

What is the best way to confront this without having to completely fall out of the loop of what is going on in the world? Time yourself, only spend 10 minutes a day and take the rest of that 1 hour broadcast to make yourself a nutritious meal instead of pulling something frozen out of the refrigerator.
